Since BMusa Iron Fe does not transfer iron from old leaves to young leaves, plants have to constantly absorb iron from the environment in which they grow. Since iron in the form of Fe²+ is used in plant metabolism, the plant takes the Fe²+ ion or reduced iron in this way.
The amount of iron available to the plant in the soil solution is usually very small. It plays an important role in protein synthesis. The most typical feature of iron deficiency is that even the thinnest veins on the leaves remain green and the color turns completely yellow between the veins.
